Photoshop much?
Its amazing how much work is done to make celebrities look perfect. Consider that if we all photoshopped our pictures, we would be just as flawless.
the oscars…
I attempted to watch most of the Oscars….
Hugh Jackman wasnt horrible. Marisa didnt win.
Mickey didnt win.
I guess I’m going to have to watch Slumdog now… but the funniest part of the whole night to me was Ben Stiller. He completely nailed Joaquin.
OMG…Hilarious!
So Alec Baldwin is one of my all time favorite actors, and he is continually one of the funniest hosts on Saturday Night Live. Shweaty Balls anyone? This past weekend another GREAT skit by Mr Baldwin…. check it out!! Genius.

Fashion Week in NY

Tracy Reese
The weak economy affects everything, and everyone. Even Fashion Week in NY. With tons of designers canceling after show parties, harder to come by goody bags, some pulling out completely and having their shows online, or others just having shows outside the tents in their showrooms..its obvious everyone is cutting back. Instead of sitting at shows drinking champagne, serve yourself at the McCafe sponsored by Mickey D’s. The clothing is drab, bland, black and greys prevail and solid , safe designs. The trickle down effect here is clear…thousands of jobs in production, fashion magazines, models, salespeople in the stores….the consumer is just scared and not buying. I realize that we all need to be safe and cut back where we can, but the spiral effect is scarier… not only in the fashion world, which I chose to focus on as it is near and dear to me. Be frugal, be spendthrifty, but dont stop spending completely. Be innovative, time to start thrift shopping and creating your own style.
Baby Hoarder
I haven’t said a word about the chick that just had 8 babies. One reason being, I was sure that all the truth was not out there yet. It is definitely a train wreck that you just cannot help but watch. That being said I tuned in to Dateline last night with Ann Curry (love her) and watched the newest interview, that some say paid the octo-momma $300 grand. She is obviously emotionally unstable, a freaking narcissist who is almost like a hoarder of pets. She claims not to have had plastic surgery, are you freaking kidding me??? Those lips are a trout pout if I have ever seen one, and her nose was not put on her face like that to begin with. She has low self esteem, and has had these babies out of a need to feel unconditional love. Her words. Seriously. Its a disaster waiting to happen, she said last night she is living on food stamps and the disability checks of her 3 other disabled children, and her student loans. How sad for these poor little babies? Hopefully something good will come out of it all, although I can see none at the moment. The doctor is also to blame for allowing her to do this. I understand it is not his moral obligation to make her chose or not, but aren’t doctors supposed to have some ethics professionally?
the grammy’s
Had to tune in to the Grammy broadcast last night, if nothing else but to see Sir Paul McCartney and Dave Grohl together. Dave was on the drums and crushed them! Love him. It was a pretty horrible Grammy’s. Nothing really of note, except very very pregnant Mia and THAT outfit she was wearing. Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swifts performance was like listening to two cats screech. I will say that Jennifer Nettles performance of “Stay” was fabulous and I have to say I had never heard that song before, but it gave me chills watching her. There’s a link at the bottom of this post , its not the Grammy performance but still great. Watching Jennifer Hudson start crying at the end of her performance was very sad. All in all, it was fine. Coldplay won alot, as well as Lil Wayne. Robert Plant and Alison Krause took home album of the year… meh.
